The team

Michael Pareles

Founder and Managing Director

Michael Pareles is the founder and Managing Director of SYP Advisors Pte Ltd. A Singapore Permanent Resident, he has extensive experience building digital ventures and public-private partnerships across APAC markets, and serving as a board director and advisor to companies large and small.

He previously led Bayer's first digital incubator in Singapore, working with the Singapore Economic Development Board and a Temasek portfolio company to build a team of more than 60 professionals across seven countries.

Before moving to Singapore, Michael founded Monsanto's Global Blockchain Center of Excellence and launched Traceharvest, the world's first blockchain-based traceability platform for row crops. His career also includes nearly a decade representing American companies in business-government partnerships across Beijing and Washington, DC.
